11-Dec-2017 to 6-Jan-2018

As every December comes to be, the Kiddies’ Fund makes its appearance to remind us that children should always be close to our hearts.  This Fund, inherited from the late Buenos Aires Herald is now within the events organized and managed by the ABCC.

The charities cover a wide range of needy children: orphans, the handicapped and the poor. Those near Buenos Aires, others in the Interior.  The revised quintet consists of the El Alba Homes, the Hogar Amparo Maternal Sarah Herández de Cilley, A.P.A.E.R., the Salvation Army and VITRA.

The Alba Home was founded by William Morris over 90 years ago, and provides school and home to orphans and children from broken homes.

The Hogar Amparo Maternal Sarah Hernández de Cilley focuses on mothers and their small children as a transition from street to recovery and social reinsertion.  Some of these mothers are children themselves.

A.P.A.E.R., Asociación Civil Padrinos de Alumnos y Escuelas Rurales, is not new to the ABCC’s help.  It helps all over the country and focuses on assisting children to finish their schooling within their community, discouraging uprooting.

Salvation Army is well known by all. Help is earmarked for their work with children.

VITRA, a foundation for handicapped children from BA and Greater Buenos Aires, seeking to endow them with skills to overcome their disadvantages.
